Q. Data confidentiality and security policy

R. Valmetrics guarantees the utmost data confidentiality and security within the scope of the obligations laid down under Swiss Federal Law on Data Protection with respect to the disclosure of information. Users of our services also have the possibility to keep the company’s name / identity undisclosed.

Q. Does Valmetrics value start-ups or small businesses?

R. Valmetrics value companies that fulfill two criteria: a financial turnover record going back at least three years and a permanent staff of at least ten employees.

Q. Does Valmetrics also value public companies?

R. Valmetrics’ services apply to all companies including public companies and in particular those characterized by a limited liquidity. However, most valuation requests concern private companies.

Q. What is the delay of delivery for your valuation reports?

R. Five working days for the market-based valuation report and ten working days for the market and income-based valuation report, from the day of receipt of all necessary information for carrying out the analysis.

Q. What information do you need to value a company?

R. It depends of the valuation option you choose. We generally need the last three most recent income statements and Balance Sheets (a detailed list is available upon request). This information can be emailed in Excel/Word format without disclosing the company’s identity.

Q. Can I invite a third party to view the information about my company?

R. Yes, every client has access to his own private account and has the option of sending invitations to access the results to third parties. The guest can thus consult (without the right to modify) information about the company and has access to the objective and original analysis performed by Valmetrics.

Q. Does IMGRv1 include transaction deals and multiples?

R. The IMGRv1 data service does not include transaction deals and multiples. Most of the time, terms of deals and related transaction multiples are not disclosed. Therefore it is difficult or even impossible to calculate reliable and accurate industry statistics. However, Valmetrics provides transaction deals and multiples in its valuation reports (consulting services).
